Monday my sweet hubby, my 3 big girls and the Ney family went to Dodge for a snowboarding trip. I then had the privilage of staying home with my 3 little ones...just us! We played outside and read stories and even made a craft together. I think I actually had some alone time with each of them as well. :) That is the first time in a long time that I felt like a fun mamma. :) Sometimes my little ones can get shuffled around in the day to day with the bigger girls activities. I just wanted to share that I was soooo blessed by those little lives Monday and I just wanted to share some pictures with you.

15 Things About Me

Well, I don't have much to say today but I thought I would list a few things about me. I guess you are supposed to do that. ☺

1. I am totally in love with Jesus.

2. I am totally in love with my best friend Kev.

3. If you didn't know 1 and 2 I am falling down on the job. ☺

4. I have the 6 best kids in all the world.

Ok, here come the quirky things.

5. I can't breathe through my nose only or I feel like I am suffocating.

6. I have no rhythm, anyone can attest to that. ☺

7. My family loves my fried chicken. I must admit that it is pretty good! ☺

8. I love to laugh!!! Ha, ha, ha!
9. Paige is helping me with this. My kids won't let me email or blog without their editing.
10. I am anal over my house, being clean...especially floors.

11. I can't walk around with dirty feet, but I love to be barefoot, so in summer I clean my feet like 10,000,000 times a day.

12. I can never finish a book.

13. I am a half port. (that's half portugese for those of you who didn't know)

14. I must be close to perfect because I can't even come up with 15 quirky things. Ha, ha, ha!
Just kidding if you want to know more ask Kev, my girls or my sisters.
Oh, Oh, Oh, I thought of 2 more. Ha!
15. I love to sing and dance, but I am not very good.
16. Everyone has a bad picture of me...my eyes are always closed or I am talking.
That's all for now.

Ode to My Kids

Sometimes we get discouraged
Because we are so small
And always leave our fingerprints
On furniture and walls

But everyday we're growing
We'll be grown up some day
And all those tiny handprints
Will surely fade away

So here's a final handprint
Just so you can recall
Exactly how our fingers looked
When we were very small.

Tyranny of the Urgent

Well, I haven't posted for some time now because I guess I have fallen prey to tyranny of the urgent. As I go through that little book and look at Jesus' example (doing the will of the Father) I am trying to weed out the unimportant. Oh, how I want to end this life being able to say, "I have finished the work which You have given me to do." John 17:4b So you may ask then why are you blogging?! Well, I was thinking this morning that I do enjoy it and I so love looking at what is going on in my friends and families lives that maybe I could spend a little time a couple times a month posting on the Kee happenings.

January is coming to an end and I just thought I would give a little update on our household. We thouroughly enjoyed our New Year celebration with the Ney Family and then continued our celebrating with Fish and Ainsley's birthdays. The rest of the month has just disappeared...I am not quite sure where it has gone.

Kevin is working steady. PTL! The Lord is blessing us through these uncertain times and we are choosing to hold tight to His promise in Deu. 31:6....that He will not leave us or forsake us. He(Kev) is doing great and is still the most handsome, wonderful guy in the whole world!!!

I on the other hand, just turned 37, broke my toe a few weeks ago and have recently had my 2nd ear surgery to remove some cancer. It is a good thing that Kev and I are one because I am falling apart. Ha!

The Kee kids are all great! I am so thankful for each one! I will post more on them in a minute.

Fisher and the Grasshopper

This past Friday was our church harvest party and my sweet little boy decided to, well, show his boyishness (I don't really think that is a word but it fits). He and Kevin were hangin' out while I had the little girls playing games like fishing and bean bag toss....when Fisher discovered a grasshopper. Kevin made sure he saw it and told him if he caught it he could eat it. Kevin should know better than to put such a challenge in front of one of his children. :) Well, Fisher caught it. It was pretty amazing actually. He played with it for some time, until, well, it was one leg short and ended up dead. I was really grossed out, but he was soooooo proud. He tried to show it to me several times, but it would jump out of his hand. Anyway some friends of ours got a cute video of him and some pics so here they are. Enjoy!
